The final round of LIV Golf Hong Kong at the historic Hong Kong Golf Club promises a high-stakes tactical battle. With the leaderboard extremely congested, the strategic narrative focuses on the closing stretch of the Fanling course—specifically the narrow par-4 18th, where the fairway is famously pinched by ancient trees. Precision remains the absolute priority; the small, undulating greens will punish any player who fails to control their spin in the humid conditions.

The headline story is a three-way deadlock at the top between Jon Rahm, Thomas Detry, and Harold Varner III, all sitting at 17-under-par. Rahm is hunting for his first individual title of the 2026 season, while Detry seeks to validate his emergency travel saga with a trophy. Simultaneously, the team competition is a razor-thin contest. Smash GC holds a narrow two-stroke lead over 4Aces GC, with Rahm’s Legion XIII just three back. As the shotgun start sounds for the final 18 holes, the ability to scramble for par out of the dense Bermuda rough will likely decide which individual and team hoist the silver trophies.

Jon Rahm (Legion XIII) finally returned to the winner's circle, delivering a masterclass final-round 64 to secure a three-stroke victory at LIV Golf Hong Kong. Starting the day in a three-way tie, the Spaniard surged ahead with four birdies in his first eight holes. Despite a minor stumble with a bogey on the 9th, Rahm regained his composure on the back nine, punctuated by a clinical birdie on the 17th that allowed him to "enjoy the walk" down the 18th fairway. Finishing at 23-under for the week, Rahm expressed visible relief as he snapped a streak of four consecutive runner-up finishes across the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

The team competition provided a dramatic "come-from-behind" victory for 4Aces GC, who captured their first team title in 974 days. Led by Thomas Detry (2nd individual) and Thomas Pieters (3rd individual), the Aces carded a collective 16-under on Sunday to overturn a deficit and win by six strokes over Smash GC. Captain Dustin Johnson praised his revamped squad, which saw Adelaide winner Anthony Kim provide a crucial late birdie to seal the result. Legion XIII rounded out the team podium in third, bolstered by Rahm's individual brilliance and a strong 65 from Caleb Surratt.
