The 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard concludes today at the legendary Bay Hill Club & Lodge. As a Signature Event, the stakes are elevated with a $20 million purse and 700 FedExCup points on the line for the winner. The course is expected to reach its most difficult state, with the Bermudagrass greens drying out to lightning-fast speeds and the thick rough punishing any wayward drives. Historically, Bay Hill's closing stretch—particularly the daunting par-3 17th and the water-lined 18th—has provided one of the most dramatic finishes on the PGA TOUR.

The strategic focus for the final round is on Daniel Berger, who has dominated the week with a record-setting start. Holding a significant lead, Berger’s challenge is to remain conservative on a course designed to bait players into mistakes. However, he faces a chasing pack of world-class talent, including Akshay Bhatia, Ludvig Åberg, and Collin Morikawa, all of whom are capable of low rounds if the conditions allow. With the wind typically gusting in the afternoon, the ability to control ball flight and avoid the "big number" will determine who earns the iconic red cardigan from the King's family.

Daniel Berger punctuated his comeback season with a gritty final-round performance to win the 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational. After holding the lead since Thursday morning, Berger carded a closing 71 to finish at 14-under, securing a two-stroke victory and the iconic red cardigan. While the greens at Bay Hill reached a level of difficulty that many players compared to a Major championship, Berger’s iron play remained surgical. His defining moment came at the par-3 17th, where he stuck an 8-iron to six feet and converted the birdie to effectively end the challenge from the chasing pack.

The final round saw a leaderboard shuffle as the "Arnie's Place" greens took their toll. Akshay Bhatia pushed Berger to the limit for much of the afternoon but was ultimately undone by a costly bogey on the 15th, finishing solo second at 12-under. Ludvig Åberg and Collin Morikawa shared third place at 10-under after both fired low rounds of the day (69) to move up the standings. Cameron Young and Sahith Theegala rounded out the top five, while Scottie Scheffler salvaged a top-20 finish with a late birdie run. The week was also marked by the high-profile withdrawal of Rory McIlroy due to back spasms, leaving the stage entirely to Berger, who now vaults into the top 10 of the FedExCup standings.
