Description

The third round of the Blue Bay LPGA at Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course is widely considered the most critical stretch of the tournament. As the field transitions into the weekend, the strategic focus shifts from mere survival to aggressive positioning. The par-72 layout, while breathtaking, features some of the most complex green complexes on the LPGA Tour, and on Saturday, the pin positions are traditionally tucked into the most challenging quadrants.

The narrative for Round 3 is a high-stakes duel between the steady experience of the international leaders and a surging wave of local Chinese talent. With no cut in this elite field, the players at the top—led by Mi Hyang Lee and Yu Liu—must balance aggression with caution as the tropical heat and coastal winds of Hainan Island intensify. For the chasing pack, including Auston Kim and the hole-in-one hero Ruoning Yin, "Moving Day" represents the last best chance to close the gap before the final trophy charge on Sunday.
