The second 450SX Heat at the Daytona International Speedway features the series points leader, Hunter Lawrence, looking to maintain his momentum after his maiden victory last weekend. The track, now heavily deteriorated from the previous sessions, has become a test of survival as much as speed. The deep, dark Florida sand is creating massive ruts in the rhythm lanes, demanding absolute precision from the premier class field.

All eyes are on the battle between Lawrence and the ever-aggressive Jason Anderson, who historically excels on the high-speed Daytona layout. Also in the mix is the "King of the 250s" moving up, Jorge Prado, and the technical specialist Malcolm Stewart. For Lawrence, this heat is about more than just a transfer spot; it’s about securing a prime gate pick to combat the inevitable first-turn chaos of the Main Event.

Result Description
Hunter Lawrence backed up his status as the fastest qualifier by taking a hard-fought win in the second 450SX Heat. The Honda HRC rider didn't have it easy, as Malcolm Stewart grabbed a lightning-fast start to lead the pack into the first rhythm section. Lawrence remained composed, shadowing Stewart for the first three laps before executing a clinical pass in the switchback section to take the lead.

Once out front, Lawrence put in a series of consistent laps to pull away from the group. The battle for second was the highlight of the race, as Jason Anderson and Malcolm Stewart traded paint multiple times. Anderson eventually secured the runner-up spot with a bold move through the sand, while Stewart held on for a solid third. Further back, Justin Hill and Dylan Ferrandis—making his debut on the Ducati—both secured direct transfers with fourth and fifth-place finishes. The heat victory gives Lawrence the first gate pick for the Main Event, setting up a tantalizing showdown with Heat 1 winner Eli Tomac.
