In what was her closest finish of the week, Wiebes had to dig deep to hold off a surging Lara Gillespie (UAE Team ADQ) on the Abu Dhabi Breakwater. The stage was defined by a late solo attack from Nina Berton (EF Education-Oatly), who spent nearly 35 kilometers alone in the wind before being caught by the desperate peloton with just 5 kilometers remaining.
The final sprint was a messy, reactive affair rather than a clean lead-out procession. FDJ-SUEZ and UAE Team ADQ fought for control in the final two kilometers, but it was Wiebes who read the movement best, launching her effort from 200 meters out.
