MotoGP returns to Brazil for the first time in over two decades, visiting the high-speed Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna in Goiânia. The primary challenge for the 22-rider field is a combination of the circuit's fresh, "green" asphalt and the unpredictable tropical weather that has already disrupted practice. For championship leader Marco Bezzecchi, the objective is to overcome a difficult Friday that saw him finish 20th in the rain, forcing him through the first qualifying stage.

Strategically, the 15-minute Q2 shootout is expected to be a test of track evolution. The objective for the Aprilia Racing duo of Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín is to translate their Friday dry pace into a front-row start, while Marc Márquez aims to exploit the Ducati's stability on the bumpy concrete sections. With track temperatures rising rapidly, the tactical priority for teams is to maximize the single-lap performance of the soft compound tire before the surface begins to "grease up" in the midday sun.

Result Description
Fabio Di Giannantonio secured his third career MotoGP pole position in dramatic fashion, topping the Q2 session at the inaugural Brazilian Grand Prix. The Pertamina Enduro VR46 rider, who successfully navigated his way through Q1 alongside Marco Bezzecchi, clocked a blistering 1:17.410 on his final flying lap. His performance denied Marco Bezzecchi a fairytale comeback to pole, as the Aprilia rider had to settle for second place, missing out by a mere 0.070 seconds.

The session was marked by high-speed drama as riders pushed the limits on the deteriorating track surface. Marc Márquez secured the final spot on the front row despite a low-side crash at Turn 4 late in the session, while Fabio Quartararo delivered a standout performance for Yamaha to take fourth. Further down the order, Francesco Bagnaia struggled to find a rhythm, qualifying a disappointing 11th, while rookie Ai Ogura impressed by taking sixth for Trackhouse Racing. The session concluded under yellow flags as both Jorge Martín and Di Giannantonio crashed in the final seconds while attempting to improve their times.
