Hunter Eichhorn (USA) set a blistering pace in the opening round, carding a spectacular 9-under-par 62 to take the early lead. Eichhorn’s round was a masterclass in precision, as he tore through the Commander Course with nine birdies and no dropped shots. His ability to "stick his wedges close" gave him a slight edge over a crowded leaderboard in what has already become a shootout in the Florida sun.

Trailing just behind is Jay Card III (USA), who posted a superb 8-under-par 63 to sit in solo second.
