Cam Waters won Race 20 of the 2026 NTI Townsville 500 after fending off Brodie Kostecki in a thrilling Friday sprint.
:Polesitter Kostecki suffered immediate wheelspin and was swamped at the line. Waters capitalised perfectly to take an early lead into Turn 2.
:Kostecki aggressively fought back from fourth position, passing Chaz Mostert and Matt Payne to catch Waters by lap 11
Red Bull Ampol Racing suffered a massive slump in qualifying, with Broc Feeney starting 16th and Will Brown 19th.
