The NHRA Southern Nationals is a premier drag racing event in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. The event took place from 1–3 May 2026. It made a historic debut at its new venue, South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) in Adel, Georgia.
Top Fuel pilot Shawn Langdon made history on Friday by clocking a 345.00 mph pass in 3.724 seconds. It is officially the fastest speed record in NHRA history. Shawn Langdon capped off his record-setting weekend by taking the event victory, defeating his teammate Doug Kalitta in the final round.
