Description

Théophile Nael won the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Hungarian Sprint Race at the Hungaroring. The Campos Racing driver put on a stellar performance, fighting through the field from sixth on the grid to secure his second victory of the season.
The 19-lap race featured heavy drama right from the lights. Reverse grid pole-sitter Kanato Le lost the initial lead into Turn 1 to Gerrard Xie. A mistake by Xie allowed Nael to slice up to second place. Following an early safety car due to a collision between Nakamura and Gladysz, Nael made a decisive pass on Le to take a race lead he would keep until the chequered flag, ultimately finishing over 2.5 seconds
