Description

A high-stakes matchup in the Unrivaled basketball league sees the expansion side Breeze BC travel to face the defending champions, Rose BC. The Breeze, led by the sensational Paige Bueckers and the athletic Rickea Jackson, enter the contest looking to snap a two-game losing skid and climb back above the .500 mark. Meanwhile, the veteran-heavy Rose BC squad, anchored by "Point Gawd" Chelsea Gray and the powerful Shakira Austin, aims to maintain their defensive reputation. With Unrivaled's unique scoring format—where a target score determines the winner after the third quarter—the early pace set by the young Breeze trio will be tested against the championship composure of the Rose roster.

Result Description

Paige Bueckers delivered a definitive MVP-caliber performance as Breeze BC dominated Rose BC in an 81-56 victory. Bueckers was unstoppable from the opening tip, scoring 11 of her team's first 13 points to spark a 12-0 run that set the tone for the night. She finished with a staggering 32 points and a career-high 11 assists on 14-of-22 shooting, becoming one of the fastest players in league history to reach the 200-career-point milestone.

The Breeze's young core provided relentless pressure throughout the game. Rickea Jackson contributed 20 points and 9 rebounds, while Dominique Malonga dominated the interior with an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double. Together, the trio accounted for all 40 of the Breeze's second-half points. Rose BC struggled to find an answer for the speed of the expansion side, with Shakira Austin's 21 points and 7 rebounds serving as the lone consistent bright spot for the champions. The 81 points surrendered marked a season-high for the Rose defense, prompting coach Nola Henry to call for a higher level of consistency following their second consecutive loss.
