Description

Adam Morgan won Race 3 at the BTCC Donington Park GP on Sunday, 23 August 2026, driving his Mercedes for the Cataclean Plato Racing (CPRL) squad. This victory secured a "double" for Morgan, who also won the first race of the day.
The reverse-grid draw placed Chris Smiley on pole position, with Morgan starting right behind him. While Smiley managed to hold onto the lead through the very first corner, Morgan quickly hunted him down and took over the top spot on lap one. Smiley was later forced to retire his car in the pit lane.
Once out in front, Morgan pulled away comfortably to dominate the rest of the race. Behind him, a fierce battle for the remaining podium steps unfolded. Aiden Moffat drove a stellar race to take second place, while Daryl De Leon made a brilliant late charge in his BMW to claim third. Current championship leader Ash Sutton fought through a close pack to finish fifth, further expanding his lead at the top of the overall standings.
