Trackhouse Racing’s Raul Fernandez won the 2026 Italian MotoGP Sprint race at Mugello, securing his first-ever career MotoGP Sprint victory. He led all 11 laps of the race to finish ahead of fellow Aprilia rider Jorge Martin.

The 11-lap Sprint race featured heavy action right from the start line. Reining champion Marc Marquez initially snatched the holeshot into turn one from the second row, but he was passed quickly by Raul Fernandez and Jorge Martin by the end of the opening sector.Fernandez and Martin managed to build a gap at the front. Although a brief braking error by Fernandez allowed Martin to close within half a second mid-race, Fernandez regained his rhythm and cleanly pulled away to finish 1.289 seconds ahead. Behind them, Fabio Di Giannantonio put on a strong recovery drive from seventh on the grid to round out the podium on home soil.
