Description

Kelvin van der Linde won a dramatic Race 2 at the Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday, 24 May 2026, driving the #3 Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3. This marked his first DTM victory with BMW. 19-year-old Ben Dörr finished in second place for Dörr Motorsport, securing a historic first-ever DTM podium for McLaren. Van der Linde's teammate, Marco Wittmann, completed the podium in third place.
Van der Linde started from pole position and led early on, but lost the top spot to Thierry Vermeulen (Ferrari 296 GT3) after sliding on the slippery, sand-dusted track. However, a slow pit stop for Vermeulen allowed Van der Linde to reclaim the lead on warmer tyres. Vermeulen’s pace completely fell away late in the race, dropping him down to fifth, which cleared the path for Ben Dörr and Marco Wittmann to seal their podium finishes..
