Description

Matteo Cairoli won Race 1 of the 2026 DTM weekend at Circuit Zandvoort. Driving the #14 Emil Frey Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo, the Italian completed a perfect Saturday by topping practice, taking pole position, and leading all 36 laps to claim his maiden DTM victory.
Lucas Auer finished second after overtaking Thierry Vermeulen at the very first corner. This podium finish propelled Auer into the lead of the DTM Drivers' Championship. Local hero Thierry Vermeulen secured third place to give Emil Frey Racing a double-podium finish on his home track.
