The 2025 WNBA Skills Challenge was set to open the WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis. This event, designed to test a variety of basketball fundamentals, featured five talented players navigating a timed obstacle course. The course included elements like dribbling through obstacles, making various passes (bounce, chest, outlet), and hitting different shots (elbow jumper, three-pointer, corner three). A unique addition to this year's course was a 2025 Kia Sorento Hybrid, adding an extra challenge. The field of participants included Natasha Cloud (New York Liberty), Skylar Diggins (Seattle Storm), defending champion Allisha Gray (Atlanta Dream), Erica Wheeler (Seattle Storm), and Courtney Williams (Minnesota Lynx). The two fastest competitors from the first round would advance to the final to determine the champion.

Result DescriptionNatasha Cloud of the New York Liberty emerged as the champion, narrowly defeating Erica Wheeler of the Seattle Storm in the final round.
In the first round, Cloud posted the fastest time of 34.1 seconds to advance. Erica Wheeler also advanced to the final. In the head-to-head final, Cloud completed the course in 36.4 seconds, edging out Wheeler by a mere 1.1 seconds, who finished with 37.5 seconds. Despite missing all three of her corner shots over the "windmill defender" in the final, Cloud's overall speed and efficiency through the dribbling and passing portions allowed her to secure the victory.
Allisha Gray, the defending champion, struggled with her chest passes in the first round, finishing with a time of 39.4 seconds and not advancing to the final. Skylar Diggins (44.3 seconds) and Courtney Williams (42.0 seconds) also did not make it to the final round.
Natasha Cloud's win marked a strong start for the New York Liberty at All-Star Weekend, as her teammate Sabrina Ionescu also went on to win the Three-Point Contest, resulting in a sweep of the Friday night events for the Liberty. Cloud received $55,000 for her victory, along with an additional $2,575 from the league.
