The 1000th MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship race is in the books, closing out the first millennium of WorldSBK racing action. The weather threw a spanner in the works at Balaton Park Circuit, as morning rain left damp patches on the track. Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) rode undeterred, winning his 14th race this season, leading Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) and Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) onto the podium.
