Description

QUEENSBERRY will return to York Hall on Saturday 17 August with a host of top prospects on parade and a headliner featuring middleweight star Denzel Bentley taking on the Punching Preacher Derrick Osaze.

Popular Battersea man Bentley (19-3-1, 16 KOs) headlines having put himself right back in the title mix with his resounding second round destruction of Danny Dignum in May.

Osaze (13-1, 3), from Nottingham, will come into the fight off three straights wins following his sole career defeat to now European champion Tyler Denny in mid-2021. In 2019, Osaze won the middleweight Boxxer tournament by defeating Grant Dennis, Kieron Conway and Tey Lynn Jones.

One of the most exciting young cruiserweights in the business, Aloys Youmbi (7-1, 7), will challenge for the vacant WBA Continental championship against the unbeaten German Oronzo Birardi (8-0, 6) in a battle between two Queensberry fighters.

In super welterweight action will be Ben Fail (6-0, 5) and Joshua Frankham (9-0, 2), fighting over eight and six rounds respectively, with star amateurs, super lightweight Luke McCormack (1-0,1) and super featherweight Billy Adams (3-0) both fighting over six. Popular featherweight Christian Fetti (1-0) will be in four-round action.

The show will also feature three professional debuts over four rounds with Sheffield flyweight Mykyle Ahmed, Benfleet super featherweight Frank Wood and Maidstone super welterweight Mason Payne introducing themselves to the pro ranks.
