The match took place on July 28, 2013, at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The final was between the United States and Panama.
The match was a rematch of the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup Final. This was first time since 2005 that the Gold Cup Final did not include Mexico.
