Description

Club Sportiv Drobeta-Turnu Severin, commonly known as CS Drobeta-Turnu Severin or simply CS Drobeta, is a Romanian football club based in Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Mehedinți County, which competes in Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system.

The club was founded in 2025 as a new football project intended to restore a senior team representing Drobeta-Turnu Severin in the national league system. It is legally and historically distinct from the former FC Drobeta-Turnu Severin, CFR Turnu Severin and CS Turnu Severin, although it was established with the stated purpose of continuing the football tradition of the city.

In its inaugural 2025–26 season, Drobeta won both the Liga IV Mehedinți championship and the Mehedinți County stage of the Cupa României, before defeating CS Sânandrei Timiș in the promotion play-off to earn promotion to Liga III.
