Reason behind the number The NEOM McLaren Extreme E car will be numbered 58, a fitting tribute to the first Formula One race Bruce McLaren entered in 1958 at the German Grand Prix. The number 58 is part of McLaren’s heritage and fittingly, Emma Gilmour is also from New Zealand.
