Description

The Northern Illinois Huskies men's basketball team represents Northern Illinois University (NIU) in DeKalb, Illinois. The school's team currently competes in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The team last played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 1996. The Huskies are coached by Mark Montgomery. Mark Montgomery spent 10 years on the Michigan State University Staff under Coach Tom Izzo.
