1. FC Saarbrücken (German: 1. Fußball-Club Saarbrücken e. V.) is a football club based in Saarbrücken, Saarland. The club play in the Regionalliga Südwest, which is the fourth tier of football in Germany. The club began its existence as the football department of Turnverein Malstatt formed in 1903. That department split off in 1907 to form the independent football club FV Malstatt-Burbach and on 1 April 1909 was renamed FV Saarbrücken.

The Hermann Neuberger Stadium is a football stadium in the middle town of Völklingen in Saarland. Named in 1994 after the former DFB president Hermann Neuberger , who was born in Völklingen, it is the fourth largest stadium in the state with a capacity of approx. 6,800 seats (including 594 covered seats and approx 6,200 standing spaces). The stadium is the home of the SV Röchling Völklingen football club. From 2016 1. FC Saarbrücken plays their home games here during the renovation of the Ludwig Park Stadium
