Result Description

Real Madrid opened their Champions League campaign with a dramatic 2–1 victory over Inter at the Santiago Bernabéu, taking a two-goal first-half lead through Kylian Mbappé and Federico Valverde before surviving sustained pressure after the break. Carlos Augusto pulled one back for Inter in the 77th minute, but Thibaut Courtois produced several crucial saves as Madrid held on for all three points in José Mourinho’s European return with the club.
