Event Statistics

Description

The final round at TPC San Antonio has transformed into a "marathon Sunday" following significant weather delays during the third round. The primary objective for the field is endurance, as many players must complete over 30 holes of golf in a single day. The goal for leader Robert MacIntyre is to protect his narrow two-stroke advantage over Ludvig Åberg through the remaining holes of the third round and into the final 18.

Strategically, the focus remains on the "Masters-or-bust" pressure for those not yet qualified for next week's major. The objective for chasers like Matt Wallace and Tony Finau is to stay aggressive on the par-5s to force the leaders into tactical errors. With the course expected to be soft but humid following the storms, the goal for the field is to capitalize on receptive greens before the afternoon heat potentially firms up the surfaces for the championship's closing stretch.
