As the tournament shifts permanently to the championship Blackstone Course for the weekend, the focus is on American leader Jordan Gumberg, who holds a two-shot advantage at 14-under par. The primary challenge for Gumberg is maintaining his "birdie-heavy" form on the more demanding of the two layouts, which rewards aggressive play but punishes inaccuracy with its jagged volcanic rock hazards.

The chasing pack is headlined by Spain’s Jorge Campillo, a seasoned veteran known for his tactical patience and elite short game. For Campillo and the pursuing South African duo of Dylan Frittelli and Thriston Lawrence, the objective on "Moving Day" is to shrink the deficit before the final round. Additionally, local fans are keeping a close watch on Wenyi Ding, who sits six shots back and looks to make a significant leap up the leaderboard to stay in contention for a historic home victory.

Result Description
The leaderboard reached a fever pitch in Haikou as Jorge Campillo carded a bogey-free 5-under 67 to pull level with Jordan Gumberg at 17-under par. Campillo’s round was a masterclass in consistency, featuring four birdies in his first seven holes to erase the overnight deficit almost immediately. Although Gumberg briefly reclaimed the lead with a birdie on the 16th, a costly bogey on the 17th saw the American finish with a 69, leaving the two veterans tied at the top.

The battle for the trophy has become a three-horse race, as South Africa's Dylan Frittelli surged into solo third at 16-under par following a brilliant 66. Frittelli’s aggressive approach saw him record seven birdies, positioning him just one shot back heading into Sunday. Further down the leaderboard, home favorite Wenyi Ding remains the top Chinese prospect at 14-under par after a steady 66, joined by Thriston Lawrence and Scotland's Euan Walker. With the top three players separated by just a single stroke, the stage is set for a high-tension finale on the Blackstone Course.
