The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series makes history this Saturday with the OnlyBulls Green Flag 150, marking the series' first-ever race on a street circuit in its 30-year history. Competing on the same 1.8-mile, 14-turn waterfront course as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, the field faces a steep learning curve. The layout, which includes the bumpy runways of Albert Whitted Airport and the narrow concrete canyons of downtown St. Petersburg, offers no room for the typical "bump and run" tactics seen on ovals.

The entry list is a star-studded mix of NASCAR regulars and road-course "ringers." Three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti and fan-favorite James Hinchcliffe make their much-anticipated truck debuts, bringing invaluable street-circuit experience to the grid. They will have to contend with series leaders like Chandler Smith and Ben Rhodes, who are looking to adapt their driving styles to the heavy braking zones and technical turns of the Florida coast. With qualifying cancelled due to inclement weather, the lineup was set by NASCAR’s competition-based formula, putting Connor Mosack on the pole for this historic matinee.

Result Description
Layne Riggs etched his name in the history books by winning the inaugural OnlyBulls Green Flag 150. Driving for Front Row Motorsports, Riggs executed a masterful strategy, climbing from a 28th-place starting position to take the lead in the final stage. The race was a typical street-circuit attrition battle, featuring multiple red flags for incidents involving Nathan Nicholson, Dawson Sutton, and Wesley Slimp.

The final laps saw a thrilling duel between Riggs and Ty Majeski. Majeski appeared to have the upper hand until a critical mistake in the final hairpin on the penultimate lap allowed Riggs to slip by. Despite a desperate charge to the line, Majeski finished second, followed by Stage 1 winner Ben Rhodes in third. The IndyCar stars had mixed results; while Franchitti showed top-ten pace early, the tight confines of Turn 10 proved difficult for the crossover drivers. In the end, Riggs' ability to manage his equipment through the debris and restarts secured him a historic victory in the Sunshine City.
