Description Marc Márquez won the dramatic 2026 Indonesian Grand Prix Sprint race at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit. With this victory, Márquez took over the lead of the MotoGP World Championship standings for the first time in 2026, pulling four points ahead of his rival Jorge Martín.
Martín made a fantastic start from fifth on the grid to lead most of the race, building an advantage of over 1.5 seconds. However, a tyre pressure issue with five laps remaining forced him to cede the lead to Márquez, and a late error dropped him down to fourth place.
