The premier class returned to Brazil for the first time in over two decades, tackling the 3.835km Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna in Goiânia. The primary challenge for the 2026 grid was a deteriorating track surface; extreme heat led to track degradation at Turns 11 and 12, forcing officials to reduce the race distance from 31 to 23 laps for safety. For polesitter Fabio Di Giannantonio, the objective was to secure his first win of the season, while the tactical priority for Marco Bezzecchi was to continue his unbeaten streak dating back to the end of 2025.
Strategically, the race was a battle of "motocross-style" resilience as riders had to contend with flying stones and debris from the breaking asphalt. The objective for the Aprilia Racing duo was to exploit their superior mechanical grip in the flowing sectors, while the Ducati riders aimed to use their straight-line speed to compensate for the technical difficulties in the tight corners. As the lights went out, the goal for the field was to survive the high-speed Turn 1, where any mistake on the loose surface could prove catastrophic for championship ambitions.

Result DescriptionMarco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) delivered a masterclass in Goiânia, claiming his second win of the 2026 season and his fourth consecutive Grand Prix victory. Bezzecchi snatched the lead from polesitter Fabio Di Giannantonio at the first corner and never looked back, leading all 23 laps to win by a comfortable 3.231-second margin. The victory moved Bezzecchi to the top of the World Championship standings, making him the first Aprilia rider in history to achieve five premier-class wins.
The battle for the remaining podium spots was a tactical war of nerves. Jorge Martín secured an Aprilia 1-2, matching his teammate's pace for much of the race to take his first podium of the season. Behind him, Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46) won a race-long duel against reigning world champion Marc Márquez. The two Ducati riders made contact twice in the final five laps, but "Diggia" held his line at Turn 12 to secure third. Ai Ogura impressed in fifth, while Francesco Bagnaia's weekend ended in disaster after a crash on Lap 10 while running in 11th place.
