Bryson DeChambeau seized sole possession of the lead after 36 holes, carding a 6-under 65 to move to 14-under par. The Crushers GC captain electrified the gallery early with a "slam-dunk" eagle from the rough on the par-4 1st hole and added a 31-foot birdie on the 2nd to sit 5-under through his first five holes. Despite a double-bogey on the 12th that briefly stalled his momentum, DeChambeau rallied with two birdies in his final three holes to establish a two-stroke advantage.

The chasing pack is led by Branden Grace and David Puig, who both sit at 12-under par. Grace delighted the local fans with a gritty 66, while Puig matched the low round of the day with a 7-under 64.
