Seth Hammaker delivered a flawless performance to claim his first victory of the 2026 season, breaking Yamaha's early-season stranglehold on the 250SX class. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider, who entered the night program battered from a heavy crash in qualifying, grabbed a massive holeshot and led every single lap of the Main Event. Hammaker's victory was a masterclass in sand riding; he maintained a gap of over four seconds for the majority of the race, never allowing the field to pull within striking distance.

The race for the podium was a showcase of raw speed versus consistency. Jo Shimoda spent the first half of the race in second place, shadowing Hammaker, but a costly mistake in the deep sand with two minutes remaining saw the Honda rider go down, eventually relegating him to fourth.
