The third round of the 2026 Magical Kenya Open presented by Absa took place on Saturday, February 21, at the historic Karen Country Club in Nairobi. Entering "Moving Day," South Africa’s Casey Jarvis and France’s Frederic Lacroix held a share of the lead at 13-under-par following a record-tying second round. With the top of the standings heavily populated by players seeking their first DP World Tour victory, the high-altitude conditions in Kenya provided a dramatic backdrop for a pivotal day of scoring.

Result Description
Casey Jarvis and Angel Ayora share the lead heading into the final round after a high-scoring Saturday. Jarvis, who has held or shared the lead since the opening day, carded a composed 4-under 66 to reach 17-under-par. He was matched late in the day by Spain’s 21-year-old sensation Angel Ayora, who surged up the standings with a brilliant 6-under 64. Both players enter Sunday with a prime opportunity to secure a career-changing maiden title.

The South African contingent remains strong at the top, with Hennie du Plessis sitting just one shot back at 16-under. Du Plessis, who fired a course-record-equaling 61 on Friday, backed it up with a steady third round to stay within striking distance. He is joined at 16-under by American Davis Bryant, who carded a clutch birdie on the 18th hole to move into the final pairing. Further back, Francesco Laporta sits in solo fifth at 15-under, while Ireland's Mark Power sits at 12-under after a strong 66, keeping his hopes for a top-10 finish and a spot in next week's South African Open alive.

For the local fans, it was a day of mixed emotions for home hero Njoroge Kibugu. After becoming the only Kenyan to make the cut, Kibugu struggled with his consistency in the third round, carding five bogeys to slip from 5-under to 1-under-par for the tournament. Despite the difficult outing, he remains the focal point for the Nairobi galleries as he looks to finish strong on Sunday.
