The 66th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals returns to its traditional place on the calendar as the third stop of the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. The primary challenge at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip is the historic track's fluctuating track temperatures and the pressure of the 1,000th Funny Car race in NHRA history. The objective for the elite fields in Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock is to master the "Home of Drag Racing" and secure one of the most prestigious Wally trophies of the 75th Anniversary season.

Strategically, the 11,000-horsepower nitro machines must navigate a surface that often rewards aggressive tuning in the cool morning air but becomes a slick "pedalfest" by mid-afternoon. The goal for Leah Pruett, returning to full-time Top Fuel competition, is to leverage her home-track advantage for Tony Stewart Racing. The tactical focus for the Funny Car field is squarely on the milestone 1,000th race trophy, with veterans like Ron Capps and Jack Beckman looking to add another historic win to their resumes.
