The Honda LPGA Thailand is a women's professional golf tournament in Thailand on the LPGA Tour. First played in 2006 at the Amata Spring Country Club, the tournament moved to the Siam Country Club, Pattaya in 2007, on its Old Course. It was the first LPGA Tour event held in Thailand and it increased the number of countries on the 2006 LPGA schedule to eight, including the United States.
The tournament was not held in 2008, but returned to the LPGA schedule in 2009. It was held at the newer Plantation Course for this year only, then returned to the Old Course in 2010. The tournament is a limited-field event with no cut; in 2011, 60 players were in the tournament (57 professionals and 3 amateurs); a full-field LPGA tournament has about 144 players. The 2012 event included a field of 70 players, with top-ranked Yani Tseng successfully defending her title, one stroke ahead of runner-up Ai Miyazato, the 2010 champion.
The event takes place Feb 19-22 and has a prize fund of $1,800,000.
Reports Result ListResult DescriptionThe 2026 LPGA season’s early Asian swing kicked off on Thursday, February 19, at the Siam Country Club Old Course in Pattaya. The Honda LPGA Thailand began with ideal scoring conditions, drawing a massive gallery eager to see World No. 1 and local favorite Jeeno (Atthaya) Thitikul. With 72 of the world’s best players in the field—including 21 of the top 25 in the Rolex Rankings—the opening round lived up to its reputation as a "birdie-fest," setting a high-octane pace on the fast-rolling greens of the Chonburi province.
Japan’s Nasa Hataoka and Thailand’s own Chanettee Wannasaen carded matching 7-under-par 65s to claim a share of the first-round lead.
The chase pack remained extremely tight, with Gemma Dryburgh, Somi Lee, and Hye-Jin Choi all just one stroke back at 6-under-par. Dryburgh provided one of the day's biggest highlights, opening her round with an eagle and three birdies in her first few holes to briefly hold the solo lead.
Meanwhile, World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul and veteran Lydia Ko stayed within striking distance, both carding bogey-free 67s to sit just two shots off the pace. Defending champion Angel Yin opened with a steady 69, keeping her title defense hopes alive after the first 18 holes.
