Posts: 340 Joined: 2020-06-17 | Been randomly looking through some of the various soccer leagues, the Featured Leagues seem to be ok but a lot of the lower leagues seem to be well out of date, players ,managers etc, and another problem seems to be duplicated players. Example CD Nacional de Madeira, this seems to be one of the worst. Any idea's why this is happening. zag | ||

Posts: 870 Joined: 2020-06-17 | Probably a combination of people not searching before using the auto import, and adding players without their Ids. And I imagine its especially bad with Portuguese/Spanish teams because the importer doesn't handle their naming conventions well, and also the use of nicknames. Ovokx, smudgie | ||

I would've expected the duplicate checked to have picked those up before being allowed to add them. | ||

 zag Posts: 3,331 Joined: 2020-03-23 | Yes i've seen this before, it happens when someone syncs the entire team, before I wrote some logic dupe checks. I will check the code, but in the mean time its fine to delete any dupes. I did a load in MLS as well and they have not come back. EDIT: Just did a whole DB search and there are about 250 player dupes on the entire site. Actually not too bad  | ||

zag Posts: 3,331 Joined: 2020-03-23 | I've just done a clean up of 250 player dupes. Most in the Portuguese league as that's what I must have tested with when I first wrote the importers. If you find any more, please delete as they shouldn't come back now we have proper import checking. | ||
