Hi everyone,

I use the livescore for my application litke that :
https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v2/json ... escore.php?
So the livescore work well but when the match is finished we have nothing to tell you "match is finish" i just see
strProgress=90 and 2 minutes after that, the match disapear from the livescore, so how do we know when a match is really finish or not ?

Another bug ? i always see some ice_hockey match with "FINAL" in str progress, why other sport don't have that ? and why do I see that old soccer match from 2020-03-06 when i do a livescore?

Hi Bob, yes this is just a limitation of V2 of the API at the moment (its in alpha stage) right now.

You should use V1 of the API which is stable and will do what you want with Soccer.

Is there any documentation stating what to expect (allowable values) for strProgress field? Or other fields in V1 or V2 feeds?

At the moment no because it is different. But for V1 I think its numerical time, HT, FT and ET.

Are the scores updated while the game is in progress? intHomeScore / intAwayScore? Or are they just populated when the game is over. Still trying to tell when a game is final or not. If they are not updated until the game is over, I can use that as indication. I am watching a baseball game now that is in the 3rd inning, and the intHomeScore / intAwayScore hasn't been updated yet, but want to confirm.

I'm also looking in V1 basketball livescores, and don't see anything there that would indicate a game is fine other than the score (if that's only populated when the game is final).

Yes I need to look at this myself, I will check as the basketball livescore feature is just starting up again.

There is no real universal way to know if the match is finished or not at the moment, I will see what I can come up with. V1 of the API should still show "FT" when the match is finished after 30mins or so it will disappear.

One thing you could look at is adding the match to to the UTC start time, but it starts getting complicated with delays and stuff.
