Hello, I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but would it be possible for you to change the schema for different sports in order to give a more wholistic view of the data? Right now it seems like everything was made for soccer, but when other sports were added nothing in the schema changed so the info returned is very lacking. Also, would it be possible to add nicknames associated to each team and end times associated to each game? Thanks!

Hello,
For nicknames at team level you can use the field "Alternate Name"

Yeh this is deliberate to keep the site manageable, but i'm always open to improving things.

Basically we have 2 types of schema for events, named events such as motor racing and 2 team Vs. events such as soccer or NFL matches.

These can be extended of course but I would like to keep within those 2 types I think.

Alternative names are already possible with teams, just add a comma to add more to the field when editing the team. It should show on all API searches.
