Hi Zag,

Taking profit of my lockdown at home, I was working on a full redesign for the front page in order to give it a modern view

Here you can see a summary of actions I have done:

- New intro look
- Match centre redesign following here you can see it in full resolution)

Now here you can see some explanations for each part:

- Latest Artwork:

Updated this section as the section to display the artwork which has more updates on the site: Event thumbs, events banners & event posters. Like on the new "Featured Events" section, an small white frame is added on each image for better contrast versus the pictured background.

Hope you like this concept, any comments for changes are welcome and hope it gets implemented!

Awesome stuff, very detailed. Need to take a closer look at this bit by bit.

Can you add to the trello board as well?

Some initial comments, I like a lot of the above but I think there are areas of improvement.

- I'm not convinced by the green background in places, maybe a different colour might work better or without the background image completely. Same with the white borders on images, i'm not sure its quite right.
- The match centre is nice but I think there is a bit too much for the main page there. Maybe a simplified version on the main page then a dedicated page somewhere else with extra info and more events...
- Really like the different size fonts for the community activity
- Love the latest artwork layout

Any ETA on the update of the front page? Looking at it today starts to look a bit collapsed and I'm afraid that it will look worst when all competitions start again

Tried to edit first post, but it seems broken as none of my tries get reflected so here I'm trying to repost it again:

Hi Zag,

Taking profit of my lockdown at home, I was working on a full redesign for the front page in order to give it a modern view

Here you can see a summary of actions I have done:

- New intro look
- Match centre redesign following Condensed Front Page design Concept
- New "Popular events today" look
- New "Community Activity" section
- New "Latest Artwork" look
- Removed several sections from front page

(here you can see it in full resolution)

Now here you can see some explanations for each part:

- New intro look:

In order to give it modern view, this concept combines sections with sport backgrounds (images sections) and black ones (text sections) starting from the intro to the site. All the concept is based in 3 main colors: dark green, black and white.

- Match centre redesign:

Following my previous "Condensed Front Page design Concept" (link to the post above), which, as a summary, displays together and in a smaller place all this current sections:

- Match Centre YouTube Highlights
- LiveScores
- Popular events today
- Live events on TV today
- All Events Scheduled today

Diferences between this one and the previous one are that I changed the filters from squares into dots for a clearer view and removed from the displayed info the event date, as it's displayed in a different colour on the calendar bar and we gain more space for long event names. Also removed from previous concept the "Featured Events" section into a new one also to gain space.

- Featured Events:

Renamed version for the current "Popular events today" which displayed the thumbs for today events shorted by UTC time for an easy use/view. Also removed all text and league info as the thumbs normally talk by themshelves. Also added an small white frame for better contrast versus the pictured background.

- Community Activity:

This new section displays all the effort that our community does displaying some stats on the left side and the last edits on the right side.

Related to stats, I added a counter for event thumbs which currently is not displayed; but it could be added some more such event posters, TV info, transfers, honours, etc... and then spand the today edits

Related to today edits, they keep the same look as the filters in the new Match Centre.
