L'ACF Fiorentina (Associazione Calcio Firenze e Associazione Fiorentina del Calcio nel 1926, Associazione Calcio Fiorentina dal 1927 al 2002 e Florentia Viola nel 2002-2003), meglio nota come Fiorentina, è una società calcistica italiana con sede nella città di Firenze, fondata il 29 agosto 1926 dal marchese Luigi Ridolfi Vay da Verrazzano. Dal 2019 il club è di proprietà dell'imprenditore italo-statunitense Rocco Commisso.
Nel corso della sua storia è stata per due volte campione d'Italia, nel 1955-1956 e nel 1968-1969; in ambito nazionale ha inoltre vinto sei Coppe Italia e una Supercoppa italiana. È stata la prima squadra italiana a vincere una competizione UEFA, la Coppa delle Coppe nel 1960-1961, nonché una delle quattordici squadre europee che hanno disputato una finale di tutte le tre principali competizioni continentali: la Coppa dei Campioni (nel 1956-1957, prima squadra italiana a raggiungere la finale della massima competizione europea), la Coppa delle Coppe (nel 1960-1961 e nel 1961-1962) e la Coppa UEFA (nel 1989-1990).
Il colore sociale è il viola, scelta cromatica voluta espressamente dallo stesso Ridolfi nel 1929; altri segni distintivi della società sono la Canzone viola, inno ufficiale composto da Marcello Manni e reinterpretato e arrangiato nel 1965 da Narciso Parigi, e lo stemma, caratterizzato da un giglio rosso su sfondo bianco, simbolo della città toscana. Inizialmente la sede delle partite casalighe era lo stadio Velodromo Libertas, mentre dal 1931 la squadra disputa i propri incontri casalinghi nello stadio Artemio Franchi, già Giovanni Berta e poi Comunale.
La Fiorentina è anche uno dei membri dell'European Club Association (ECA), organizzazione internazionale che ha preso il posto del soppresso G-14, composta dai principali club calcistici europei, riuniti in consorzio al fine di ottenere una tutela comune dei diritti sportivi, legali e televisivi di fronte alla FIFA.

Stadio Artemio Franchi is a football stadium in Florence, Italy. It is currently the home of ACF Fiorentina. The stadium was temporarily noticed as the host of Italy's Six Nations matches from 2012. The old nickname of the stadium was "Comunale." When it was first constructed, it was known as the Stadio Giovanni Berta.
The stadium was officially opened on the 13th of September 1931 with a match between Fiorentina and Admira Wien (1-0), though it took until 1932 for the stadium to be completely finished and currently holds 47,282. The architect is Pier Luigi Nervi (known for the Nervi Hall in the Vatican) and it is one of the most relevant examples of 20th-century architecture in the city.
The stadium is built entirely of reinforced concrete with a 70 meter (230 ft) tower that bears the stadium's flagstaff. The tower is called the "Tower of Marathon". Around the base of the tower, spiral ramps lead from the ground floor to the upper edge of the grandstand.
It hosted some of the matches of the 1934 World Cup, as well as football preliminaries for the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. In 1945, it hosted the Spaghetti Bowl between American service teams.
The stadium was originally called the "Comunale" but was renamed after the former FIGC president, Artemio Franchi, in 1991.
The stadium itself underwent renovations for the 1990 FIFA World Cup which included removing the running track and increasing the seating capacity. At the World Cup, the ground hosted three matches in Group A and Argentina's penalty shootout win over Yugoslavia in the quarter-finals.
The official record attendance is 58,271 on 25 November 1984, at a Serie A match between Fiorentina and Internazionale.
