Description

A.C. Gozzano S.r.l. also known as Associazione Calcio Gozzano, or simply Gozzano, is an Italian association football club, based in Gozzano, Piedmont. Gozzano currently plays in Serie C.

History
The club was founded around 1921 as Club Sportivo Juventus, and later adopted the current name. It became member of the FIGC (Italian Football Federation) in 1924.

In the 1978–79 season the team was promoted to Serie D for the first time; it then reached the category again in 2010–11 and 2014–15 seasons.

After more than 9 decades spent competing in the Italian amateur leagues, in the 2017–18 season the club won the A group of Serie D, and was promoted to the Serie C, reaching a professional championship for the first time in its history.

Colors and badge
The team's historic colors are red and blue.

From 1985 to 1995 the players wore red and white halved shirts derived from the colours of the town emblem (which is also pictured into the club badge).

Stadium or Home

The Stadio Alfredo d'Albertas is a football stadium in Gozzano, Italy, currently in use by the team A.C. Gozzano.

Constructed around 1950, and originally named Stadio di Monterosso (taking its name from the neighborhood in which it stands), the stadium was renamed in May 1994 after the A.C. Gozzano's longest serving president (H.E. marquis Alfredo d’Albertas, 1916 – 1992).

Originally, the stadium could accommodate up to 400 spectators: however, in some circumstances (as the security regulations have allowed it) the attendance at the stadium has exceeded even 1,000 spectators, with people staying even outside the bleachers.

Between 2018 and 2019, following the first promotion of A.C. Gozzano in Serie C, the stadium was completely renovated, building up two new side stands; for safety reasons and according to the championship criteria, the maximum capacity has been set at 1,526 all-seating places.

Because of the rebuilding, A.C. Gozzano has been forced to play its home games throughout the 2018-19 season (and the beginning of the 2019-20 one, too) at the Stadio Silvio Piola (Vercelli), heading back to "d'Albertas" stadium on September 15, 2019.
