José Carlos Montoyo Díaz (born October 17, 1965) is a Puerto Rican former professional baseball second baseman and coach. He is currently the bench coach of the Chicago White Sox, and was previously the manager of the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB).
After eight successful seasons as manager of the Durham Bulls, the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays in the International League (2007–2014), Montoyo was a candidate for the Rays' 2015 managerial position and was ultimately brought on as the team's third base coach. After the 2017 season, Montoyo became the Rays’ bench coach. On October 25, 2018, the Toronto Blue Jays announced that Montoyo had been hired as their new manager.
