<plot>The 2019 Superbike World Championship is the 32nd season of the Superbike World Championship.
For the 2019 season, a new race format has been introduced. Just as in 2018, two equidistant races are held – one each on Saturday and Sunday (Friday and Saturday in Qatar) – but a third race, denoted as the Superpole Race, is now held on the final morning of the weekend, prior to the second full distance race. The starting grid for Race 1 and the Superpole Race is determined by a single 25-minute Superpole timed session, while the grid for Race 2 features the top 9 riders classified in the Superpole Race followed by the remaining riders sorted by their qualifying times.

On Saturday the Aruba.it Racing Ducati rider became the sixth rider in history to win on his World Superbike debut, and first since Max Biaggi in 2007, before following that feat with a perfect Sunday double.
Alvaro Bautista took complete control in the final World Superbike race at Phillip Island to secure a historic hat-trick of wins on his debut.
In the first-ever sprint race Bautista held off Jonathan Rea’s charge to take victory and in the full length race two Bautista took advantage of his superior pace and tyre conservation to ease to a hat-trick of World Superbike wins.</plot>
