First played in 2006 at the Amata Spring Country Club, the tournament moved to the Siam Country Club in 2007, on its Pattaya Old Course. It was the first LPGA Tour event held in Thailand and it increased the number of countries on the 2006 LPGA schedule to eight, including the United States. The tournament is a limited-field event with no cut; in 2011, 60 players were in the tournament (57 professionals and 3 amateurs); a full-field LPGA tournament has about 144 players. The event takes place Mar 10-13 and has a prize fund of $1.6M. With an eagle on the second playoff hole, Nanna Koerstz Madsen captured the 2022 Honda LPGA Thailand and became the first LPGA Tour winner from Denmark. She outlasted a hard-fought battle with China’s Xiyu Lin, draining a 10-foot putt to take the title. Koerstz Madsen and Lin finished at -26 overall to set a new tournament scoring record, breaking the mark of -25 set by Jessica Korda in 2018. 1420635
