The tournament will take place at the Glaspalast, Sindelfingen, Germany from 16–18 October 2020. It will feature a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. The tournament was postponed from its original date of 20–22 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany. Jose De Sousa produced the performance of his career to claim his first European Tour title with an 8-4 defeat of Michael van Gerwen in Sunday's European Darts Grand Prix final.
