I've done loads of work making the site compatible with SSL encryption recently. It should work but a bit rough around the edges.
Haven't tested the API either, but it may break some apps as I have removed the "HTTP /" from the returned images in json.
Let me know if you find any bugs. I'm sure there are a few.

I don't know if it's due to this implementation, but I have found a lot of broken images or that are not displayed. Some examples:

https://www.thesportsdb.com/events_main.php - no posters displayed
https://www.thesportsdb.com/tv.php?c=5037 - no poster displayed
https://www.thesportsdb.com/event/530710 - no banner displayed
https://www.thesportsdb.com/search.php?s=mac - no badges, no thumbs and no league badge are displayed
All these images are still on the TSDB, but are not correctly "linked"; I guess...
Hope it helps as I don't know nothing about coding

HTTP should still work fine, I won't be forcing SSL anytime soon. But at least it is now available.

I'm also thinking about adding player "contracts". I would be interested if you have an idea how to add them or show them on the team/player page nicely.
I have an idea of a progress bar (1,2,3,4 years left) below the player image on the team page, but just seeing if there are any other ideas.
did you take the opportunity to have a look on my proposal about contracts? Just asking this in order to continue adding info to players as we used to or stop if any change is coming in short

| | - Add delete function for players.
There is now a delete button for players in the bottom left of the player screen. This will only show for moderators.
I found it very useful when completing whole teams as the players are sometimes out of date.
It can also be used to delete dupes. Just be careful
