Description Aaron Rai won the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club, shooting a brilliant final-round 5-under 65 to finish at 9-under par. With this victory, the 31-year-old captured his first career major championship and became the first Englishman to hoist the Wanamaker Trophy since Jim Barnes in 1919. Rai, known for his unique style of wearing two gloves and keeping iron covers on his clubs, secured a three-stroke victory over runners-up Jon Rahm and overnight leader Alex Smalley.
Entering the final round trailing, Rai played his final 10 holes on Sunday in 6-under par. He essentially sealed the tournament on the par-3 17th green by sinking an incredible 68-foot birdie putt.
